NEXT PRAYER MEAL
Saturday, November 11th
at Hillcrest Country Club
It is such a tremendous honor to serve as the Chaplain for our Morning Star Chapter of Magnificat here in Lincoln, Nebraska. Magnificat has not only women who are Catholic but ladies of other religions attending their quarterly breakfasts and presentations. So, ladies, if you are ever having a “bad day,” then either visit a kindergarten class or participate in Magnificat. It’s enthusiastic and inspiring!!

I was at the first Magnificat in 1996 and knew immediately this was a Ministry I wanted to be a part of as the women in attendance were so joyful and our Speaker Marilyn Quirk (foundress of Magnificat) was Spirit filled and very much in Love with Our Lord! I volunteered immediately, the first to become a regular Table Hostess until 2006 when I was asked to join the Service Team. Through the Magnificat Ministry my Catholic Faith and walk with Jesus in His Spirit has come alive and grown ever deeper, along with my love and devotion for Our Blessed Mother!
My parish is St. Teresa’s in Lincoln.

Being involved with Magnificat has been a huge blessing in my life. The wonderful women I’ve met and worked with have inspired me to be a more faithful servant to our Lord Jesus and His people.

In 2 Corinthians 9:8 we read:
"And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. "
Over the years I have gratefully observed God’s grace working through the generous hearts of our Magnificat ladies in providing the needs necessary to fund the good works of Magnificat. Deo Gratias.

Magnificat is a Woman to Woman ministry with the purpose of bringing women closer to Jesus through Mary and the Holy Spirit.
As we honor Mary in this ministry, she who is the spouse of the Holy Spirit, draws us into a deeper union with her Spouse and her Son.
Because she is the masterpiece of the hands of God, He wishes to be glorified and praised in her by those who are living upon the earth.
(True Devotion to Mary)
